- Emergency Medical Technicians / Paramedics (EMT-B, EMT-I, EMT-P)
- Emergency Medical Dispatchers (EMD)
- Medical quality control/improvement
- Equipment and supplies maintenance
While we are highly interested in recruiting medical personnel in the community, you do not need to be in the medical field in order to apply for any of the above positions. Hatzalah Chicago will train qualified individuals. To qualify as an EMT-B/I/P though, you should meet the following criteria:
- Live and/or work in Lincolnwood, Peterson Park, Skokie, or West Rogers Park
- Willingness to commit to becoming a licensed EMT (minimum coursework of 120 hours for non-medical personnel)
- Willingness to complete continuing education requirements and skills maintenance (approximately 4 hours per month)
- Willingness to participate in monthly ambulatory shifts (approximately 8 hours per month)
- Own a car with current registration, insurance and have a valid driver's license
- No felony convictions on record
- Ability to give a minimum two (2) year commitment to the organization
