Sgt Mark George was asked to stop by Yeshivas Tiferes Tzvi Elementary today, May 14th, 2018. It was a rainy day, but the rain held off just as the school was planning on marking Sgt. George’s retirement after 30 years with the Chicago Police Department. Sgt George was involved in reviewing the schools Emergency Action Plan and the school wanted to recognize him for all that he has done.

Hatzalah Chicago was honored to be a part of the vehicle procession that came into the school lot. The sergeant walked to the front of the building, receiving thanks and handshakes from the students and teachers along the way.

The school presented Sergeant George with a plaque for his accomplishments and the sergeant returned with his comments of admiration to the school for the overwhelming gesture he was receiving.
Students presented him with signs they made and asked him to sign their American flags. A wonderful time was had by all. We’d like to thank YTT-JDBY for letting Hatzalah be a part of this. Additionally, we’d like to thank all of the CPD officers who keep our community safe at all times.
Sgt George, thank you and congratulations!
